The Uruguay FA will stand by Luis Suarez after FIFA opened disciplinary proceedings against the Liverpool striker.
Suarez appeared to bite Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's World Cup win yesterday.
Fifa delegates confirmed to Roberto Pastoriza of the Uruguayan FA (AUF) that a disciplinary investigation would take place in the lobby of their Natal hotel last night.
But, having reviewed the video evidence, the AUF are confident that no punishment should be bestowed on their star striker and will take whatever steps possible to defend their man, says the Mirror.
