An unidentified body has been found inside the under-construction house of Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny in Egypt, according to website 24.ae.

The father of the Egypt international reportedly called the police to inform them of the find on Friday.

Law enforcement has begun an investigation into the incident.

The Department of Criminal Investigation was tasked to investigate the circumstances of the incident, conduct an autopsy and burial.

Elneny has been with Arsenal for three years, having played 89 matches for the team in various tournaments and scored two goals.
