Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has thrown down the gauntlet to his detractors after a five-star show in Brisbane today. The Poland international is under pressure following the arrival of new manager Tony Mowbray, but was outstanding in Celtic's 3-0 victory over Brisbane Roar.
Boruc made three world-class saves in the opening exchanges, including two from Roar striker Robbie Kruse.
Aussie striker Scott McDonald, captain of Celtic for the day, told tribalfootball.com: "Friendly? This was no friendly. Everytime Celtic play, there is an obligation to deliver for these magnificent fans.
"Artur set the tone today. Those saves gave us a chance to settle and run out with this win."
