Samuel Umtiti has reportedly told Barcelona to reject any approaches for his services from Arsenal this summer.

The defender hopes that he can stay and fight for his place at the Nou Camp.

The Daily Star claim Umtiti has asked Barcelona to ignore offers for his services, insisting he wants to stay in Spain with the La Liga champions.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery would have to spend half of his summer's transfer budget to land Umtiti, and is exploring other options.

The Gunners have also been watching Dayot Upamecano, of RB Leipzig, but it is thought Umtiti remains their number one target.
