West Ham United have announced a new five-year kit deal with Umbro, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The British brand will produce the east London club's kits from next season, providing strips for all of its teams as well as training products and leisure wear.
Umbro will begin its tenure by manufacturing a commemorative kit for next season, West Ham's last playing at the Boleyn Ground before they move to London's Olympic Stadium in the summer of next year.
West Ham previously wore Umbro kits in the 1960s and between 2007 and 2010, before the club switched to Macron and then to their current supplier Adidas.
Financial terms of the new Umbro agreement have not been released but it is thought to be worth around twice as much as the Adidas deal.
"As we approach two historic seasons for West Ham United, we are delighted once again to team up with Umbro, a company which - like West Ham - is steeped in the heritage of English football but also a fast-growing global brand with an exciting future ahead," said Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady.
"It is especially fitting that, during our final season at the Boleyn Ground, our players and fans will wear a brand synonymous with one of the finest moments in West Ham's rich history: England's 1966 World Cup triumph."
