Udinese's Marino safe until end of season

Udinese coach Pasquale Marino's job is safe until at least the end of the season according to club owner Giampaolo Pozzo.

Despite losing their last five matches, Pozzo has reassured Marino that his position is under no threat.

"We have not placed any ultimatum on Marino," Pozzo said.

"Therefore no game is decisive for the continuation of his working rapport with Udinese, despite what some stories in the newspapers may have said.

"Marino is the Coach of Udinese and certainly will be until the end of the season, no matter how things go.

"I also read that I supposedly contacted other tacticians, but there is nothing remotely true about that story."
