Udinese patron Giampaolo Pozzo is pushing for a record fee for star winger Alexis Sanchez.

Pozzo rates Sanchez ahead of Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

"In my opinion, he is worth Messi," he stated. "He has the same capabilities and potential. And I don't even know how much Messi is worth…"

Sanchez has enjoyed a sparkling campaign after returning to the side as a Trequartista rather than as a wide attacker or winger.

"Inter, through Marco Branca, made an offer for him in January," Pozzo added of the rumoured €16m bid."
