Udinese assistant coach Dejan Stankovic has backed Inter Milan's pursuit of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

Stankovic is a former Inter player.

"He is a leader on and off the field, a player of the highest level who can make the difference," he said of Toure.

"If Inter are able to get him, it'll be a real coup."
