Pasquale Marino sent out a below par Udinese side for the final UEFA Cup group match against Dutch club NEC.
Goals from Collins John and Jhon van Beukering in the 74th and 77th minutes ensured the win for NEC but it was not a danger game for Udinese as they were guaranteed a spot in the round of 32.
Udinese will now look to an important Serie A clash at Milan this week.
