Manchester United's interest in Udinese whiz Alexis Sanchez is set to be revived following the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.

While Ronaldo himself was asking for a transfer to Real Madrid, the pretender to his crown was banging in a brace of goals during the 4-0 victory over Bolivia on Wednesday night, helping Chile a step closer to the World Cup.

It's not just with his quick feet that Sanchez resembles the Bernabeu-bound superstar. The Tocopilla-born player likes to wear the No 7, looks good in a red shirt and has a penchant for hair gel.

Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa said: "There is a dedication in his game, and that is why he is successful in Italian football."
