Udinese chief Gasparin: Fiorentina were keen on our players

Udinese sports chief Sergio Gasparin says he has great respect for Fiorentina counterpart Pantaleo Corvino.

The two clubs face-off today and Gasparin insists Fiorentina never asked for midfielder Gaetano D'Agostino in the summer.

"In the market we have never concluded business with Corvino, never talked about D'Agostino while there was interest last summer from the Viola for Felipe and Cristian Zapata," said Gasparin.

"But then there was not an agreement between the clubs.

"We have given continuity to our project, also enjoying solid economic conditions. Apart from the sale of Fabio Quagliarella, this allowed us to maintain the strength of our squad."
