Udinese chief confirms Juventus talks for Iaquinta

Udinese's new sports director Pietro Leonardi has confirmed talks with Juventus over the sale of striker Vincenzo Iaquinta

He said: "We are discussing his transfer with Juventus. The talks are at an advanced stage and we hope they can be concluded successfully."

However, Leonardi insists there will not be a major overhaul of the Udinese squad for next season.

"We intend to keep Dias Felipe and Cristian Zapata in Udine. They are both very young, we believe strongly in them and wish to keep hold of them, hoping they can reach their true potential at this side.

"I deny reports that certain clubs have made offers for them. For example, we have never received signals from Roma for Felipe."

Lazio have been heavily linked with a bid for Morgan De Sanctis following Angelo Peruzzi's decision to retire.

"For now, De Sanctis' future is at Udinese. I know that many have said he will be Peruzzi's heir, but that's all talk. The reality is that Lazio never requested him."
