A pair of Italian clubs have joined the race for Chelsea's Gael Kakuta.

The Daily Mail is of the belief that Udinese and Atalanta are showing considerable interest in the 23-year old Frenchman who is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

Kakuta has failed to make the grade with Chelsea since signing a senior contract in 2009 and has experienced loans at six different clubs over the past six years.

Valencia and Monaco are also keen on Kakuta who would cost around £3million.
