Harry Charsley was named Everton's U18 Player of the Season on Wednesday night.

The Irish midfielder had an outstanding season for the Toffees' academy team and is now eager to step up and be a key member of the U21s.

"I'm delighted to win. I'm really happy with the way I've played this season and the team have had a great year as well," said Charsley who collected the award from Young Player of the Year John Stones.

"It was a shame we couldn't retain our title but we are proud that we came so close and of our efforts in doing so.

"I want to kick-on now and play regularly for the Under-21s next season."
