Joe Hart and Gary Cahill have been called up by England for their World Cup qualifiers after keeper Paul Robinson and defender Joleon Lescott both withdrew. Blackburn stopper Robinson will return to his club following a hip problem, while Lescott heads back to Manchester City after with a calf injury picked up in the Premier League draw at Aston Villa on Monday night.

Hart has been rewarded for a solid start to his loan period at Birmingham whilst Bolton centre-back Cahill has been called up before but is yet to make his England debut.
