Major League Soccer (MLS) has agreed a partnership with Twitter ahead of the final day of its 2015 regular season, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.
The social media giant will assist with a major campaign across all ten fixtures on 25th October, branded #DecisionDay, as all 20 teams in North America's top tier play over a period of four hours.
Twitter staff will be on hand at all ten venues to operate 'Twitter mirrors' and run Periscope broadcasts, while goals and highlights will be showcased using the Vine clip format.
Fans of teams who qualify for the play-offs will be able to purchase customised T-shirts using Twitter.
"There are a bunch of content initiatives we're doing at venues," said Twitter's head of North American sports partnerships, Danny Keens, speaking to Sports Illustrated.
"For fans, we're able to drop them into multiple MLS Decision Day games at once. So fans can connect with all the action that's taking place on the day and bring them closer to the action than ever before, with Twitter being the centre of that universe."
