Chelesa boss Thomas Tuchel is pushing the club to resolve a contract dispute with Antonio Rudiger.
The German centre-half is a key member of his countryman's three-man defence for the Champions League winners.
Rudiger can speak to other teams in January, as his present deal runs out in the summer.
According to the Daily Express, sources close to Rudiger suggest that manager Tuchel wants him to renew and stay at Chelsea for the near future.
Tuchel hopes the club and Rudiger's representatives can hash out a deal in the coming months.
Rudiger has been seeking €10m-a-year to re-sign with the Blues.
Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich have both strongly been linked with the 28-year-old.
