Newcastle United captain Kieran Trippier insists he never agitated for a move away last month.
Newcastle resisted multiple offers from Bayern Munich for their fullback.
And Trippier reflected to Sky Sports: "I see it as a compliment, but as a player I have never expressed the wish to go. I have always been committed to the club and that will not change."
When asked specifically about Bayern, Trippier said: “Of course it is one of the biggest clubs in the world with a fantastic coach and incredible players. But now I'm happy here, I have an incredibly close relationship with the coach and my teammates.
"As I said, I'm committed to Newcastle."
