TRIBAL TRENDS - TRANSFERS: Mbappe to Liverpool?; Mou bringing Dybala to Man Utd?; The Barca Real Madrid switch?

With the amount of rumours swirling around at this time of year, even after the winter transfer window, it is sometimes difficult to decipher the truth.

These are matters of importance.

As the transfer talk is now directed at the all-important summer market, there are enormous amounts of speculation swirling around Europe and the UK.

Not to worry however, because here at Tribalfootball, we have broken down the week's hottest transfer rumours, and inform you whether you should believe the paper talk or not.

Here are our top five trending transfer stories for the past week:

Jurgen KloppLiverpool

Players Interested In: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Mohamed Salah (Roma) and Christian Pulisic (Dortmund)

Fenway Sports Group – the owners of Liverpool – are prepared to give Reds manager Jurgen Klopp over £100m to bolster his squad for next season.

The Telegraphreports that the investment has been made available after the club secured Champions League qualification on the last day of the season.

Southampton's Virgil van Dijk, wingers Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Mohamed Salah of Arsenal and Roma, and Dortmund's Christian Pulisic, are all reportedly on Klopp's wish list.

Saints centre-back van Dijk is arguably the most sought after player in the Premier League, and it will take Liverpool to break their £35m transfer fee record to get him.

Southampton are reportedly looking for £50m for the Dutchman, and with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all reportedly interested, Klopp may have to blow half of his war chest to get the 25-year old.

It would be very surprising too see Arsenal let the Ox head north this summer, especially with his recent form playing in the wing-back position.

Former Chelsea winger Salah has had an excellent season in the Serie A. The wily Egyptian has managed 15 goals in 30 games for Roma and would fit perfectly into Klopp's system.

18-year old Pulisic had an incredible breakout season with Dortmund, accumulating 5 goals and 12 assists in 42 matches. It would surely cost Liverpool a hefty sum for Borussia to part ways with the American wonder kid.

Overall, Klopp will definitely have the funds to be an active player this summer. The competition may have ended on the pitch for the moment, but as we'll read below, for Liverpool their biggest fight will be off the pitch as they go head to head with their rivals for the signatures of the aforementioned players.

Likelihood: They won't get them all

Kylian Mbappe: Monaco

Clubs Interested: Liverpool, Real Madrid, JuventusManchester United, Arsenal

According to Marca, Liverpool has had a €75m bid for 18-year old wonder kid Kylian Mbappe rejected by AS Monaco.

The principality club has deemed the amount of compensation insufficient and will hold out for no less than €100m.

Mbappe has simply been on fire this campaign, scoring 26 and assisting 14 in 43 games, which has alerted the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal.

If we are accepting that FSG are going to hand Jurgen Klopp over €100 million for the transfer window, it's hard to imagine that the German will spend the whole, or majority, of his kitty on one single player – no matter how good Mbappe may be.

Likelihood: It's too much

IscoReal Madrid

Clubs Interested In: Barcelona

Pique and Andreas Iniesta are furious about Barcelona's reported offer for Real Madrid midfielder Isco because he will receive higher wages than them.

The Spaniard could become the new Luis Figo, but in reverse, according to Don Balon.

Figo famously moved from Barcelona to Real Madrid in 2000 in one of the most controversial and famous transfers of all time.

And now, Barcelona is reportedly looking to table an offer for the Spain international to move to Catalonia.

Isco has had somewhat of resurgence this season under Zinedine Zidane, scoring 10 goals in 30 appearances.

Regardless of the potential conflict that may arise out of this deal of this deal between the players, it is even more unlikely to happen due to the rivalry that exists between the two clubs.

Likelihood: Not going to happen

Jose MourinhoManchester United

Players Interested In: Paulo Dybala (Juventus) and James Rodriguez (Real Madrid)

Manchester United is planning to buy both Juventus' Paulo Dybala and Real Madrid's James Rodriguez.

Don Balonclaims the deal for Rodriguez is all but wrapped up, and now the Portuguese has turned his attention to Dybala.

The 23-year old has lit it up for the Old Lady, scoring 28 Serie A goals since moving to Turin in 2015.

Although it isn't out of the realms off possibility considering United's raid on Juventus last season, this deal will only be pursued if the Antoine Griezmann move falls through.

Rodriguez does look set to leave the Bernabeu and all signs are pointing towards Manchester.

Likelihood: Colombia maybe, Argentina no

Iker Casillas – FC Porto

Clubs Interested In: Liverpool

According to AS, FC Porto keeper Iker Casillas has signed a pre-contract with Liverpool.

The 35-year old was the stalwart at Real Madrid for 16 years before moving to Portugal in 2015.

The Spainard will be out of contract in a month's time and the report suggests he has made his next stop Anfield.

The deal might be real in Casillas' mind, but it is far from reality in the eyes of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.

The Reds manager has insisted he does not need a new goalkeeper, with Loris Kaunus and Simon Mignolet sharing the duties last season, with the latter having performed exceptionally in the late stages of the season.

Likelihood: The love isn't mutual
