Transfer watch: Five Bundesliga dazzlers to keep an eye on this weekend

With the Bundesliga action returning to our screens this weekend, here's a look at five of the most exciting wingers to look out for;

Filip Kostic

The 2018/19 season was a solid one for Eintracht Frankfurt. They narrowly missed out on a top four finish, and managed to make it into the Europa League semis.

Real Madrid's summer signing Luka Jovic and marksman Ante Rebic were the poster boys of Frankfurt's success, but in reality, Frankfurt couldn't have enjoyed the season they had without Filip Kostic's efforts on the left-flank.

Kostic, who has recently been linked with Crystal Palace, is like Poseidon and the left-flank is his sea - so far this season he's scored 9 goals and registered 11 assists across all competitions while also making significant defensive contributions.

A key facet of Kostic's play is his crossing. He's probably one of the best crossers in Europe as he consistently torments his opponents with accurate crosses from the left flank.

He's an intelligent player who makes smart runs whilst utilising his pace and dribbling ability to make an impact in the attacking third, the combination of which is sure to keep you entertained this weekend.

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho is arguably the most in-demand player in the world right now.

The 21-year-old has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season scoring 14 goals and making 15 assists in 21 league starts - it's no secret why nearly every big club in Europe is ready to enter a bidding war for his services.

Outside of his end-product, Sancho is an exciting player to watch, which has seen him attract interest from Manchester United and Chelsea this summer.

He's got a big back of tricks up his sleeve and he's not afraid to use them when an opportunity to do so presents itself.

Sancho will be expected to play a key role in the Revierderby as Dortmund welcome Schalke 04 to the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday. It's sure to be a fun game to watch especially with Sancho poised to feature.

Serge Gnabry

Over the last few seasons, Serge Gnabry has grown into one of Bayern Munich's most influential players, posing a consistent goal threat, whilst also being a creative force in the attacking third.

It's amazing how he's gone from being deemed 'not good enough' by West Brom manager Tony Pulis to becoming one of the best wingers on the European football scene.

So far this season, the former Arsenal man has bagged 11 goals and made nine assists in 19 starts, proving to be an integral part of Bayern's attack alongside goalscoring machine Robert Lewandowski and the ultimate raumdeuter Thomas Muller.

The Germany international is incredibly fast with the ball at his feet. His pace, coupled with his mesmerising dribbling ability makes him a force to be reckoned with on the right flank, with the Bundesliga returning, Gnabry will be itching to pick up where he left off before the season came to a halt.

Thorgan Hazard

Hazard has succeeded in making a name for himself in the Bundesliga to the point where he's broken out of his brother, Eden Hazard's shadow, and is now a star in his own right.

Hazard is a very technical player who thrives in 1 v 1 situations, and has added an end product on those skills with both Gladbach and Borussia Dortmund.

Alongside Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho, the 27-year-old has been firing on all cylinders for Dortmund.

Hazard netted five goals and made 10 assists in 19 starts and come Saturday he'll be looking to add to those tallies against Schalke 04.

Milot Rashica

Werder Bremen have suffered a torrid season so far.

They find themselves in 17th place on the Bundesliga table, but even amid their poor showings this season, one player has stood out for them and that player is none other than Milot Rashica.

Rashica is a pacy winger who poses a major attacking threat from the left flank. He has scored seven goals and assisted four in 20 Bundesliga appearances.

As things stand, he's Werder Bremen's most important player - with him in the squad there's a chance, albeit small, that Bremen will make it out of the relegation zone.

The 23-year-old is currently under Liverpool's radar, with Wolves and RB Leipzig also interested.

He'll be looking to help his side secure a much-needed home win next Monday against Bayer Leverkusen.
