The agent of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Tranquillo Barnetta has denied interest from Arsenal.

Wolfgang Voege told setanta.com: "There has been no contact with Arsenal whatsoever.

"The story is a complete fabrication.

"Portsmouth tried to sign the player in the January transfer window, but Bayer did not want to sell and that was that.

"Since then I have had no contact with any Premier League clubs.

"Lazio and Valencia have both approached me regarding his availability, but it is his dream to play in The Premier League."
