Darren Bent admits Harry Redknapp's arrival at Tottenham was the turning point for his season.

Back in the England squad, Bent revealed: "I think Juande Ramos spoke about four words to me all year, but Harry Redknapp has come in and told me what he wants.

"Under Juande it was difficult at times. The structure of the team was difficult and we were not playing as well as we can do.

"I started to question the motives behind their decision to buy me and a lot of people around me were telling me that I was going to be sold, but I wanted to stay.

"Harry has come in, kept it simple and it's no coincidence that results have turned around and we have started to perform.

"Juande tried to complicate it and change bits and bobs. Harry has just told us how we are going to play and get used to it. That's the secret really and the players are responding."
