Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is hoping to sign Tottenham Hotspur youngster Milos Velkjovic.

Velkjovic impressed during Serbia Under 20's triumphant World Cup campaign in New Zealand earlier this month and his fine performances have caught the eye of Villa manager Sherwood.

Sherwood is no stranger to Velkjovic's abilities after working closely with the defender during their time together at Spurs and it is now being reported by the Birmingham Mail that the 46-year old wants a reunion with the young man at Villa Park.
