Tottenham teenager Massimo Luongo was the subject of high praise from Ipswich Town manager Paul Jewell this week.
The 19-year old Australian midfielder has signed a season-long loan with the Tractor Boys and produced an impressive performance in his first pre-season match - a 2-0 win over Cambridge United.
Jewell was thrilled with the showing of Australian U20 international Luongo who played an important role as a defensive midfielder.
"I was particularly pleased with young Massimo, who I thought was outstanding," said the Ipswich boss.
"He trained with us for the first time yesterday but has settled in and although I know it's only a preseason friendly I thought he showed great confidence for a 19-year old.
"He looks a great footballer. There is that touch of quality about him."
