Tottenham are eyeing Sporting CP striker Islam Slimani.
The Daily Star says Spurs scouts watched Slimani score for Algeria against South Africa at the Africa Cup of Nations and sent back glowing reports about the 26-year-old.
Slimani was a target for West Ham and Leicester after starring for his country at the World Cup and could be available for a knock-down fee because of money worries in Lisbon.
He is one of several players Spurs are monitoring, with Everton's Kevin Mirallas, Aston Villa's Fabian Delph and West Brom's Saido Berahino also on their radar.
