Tottenham have handed trials to Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

Ryan is contracted to Central Coast Mariners and has been offered a four-week trial at Spurs for August.

It's no jolly for the youngster, with Spurs having just announced the release of goalkeeping trio Ben Alnwick, Oscar Jansson and Mirko Ranieri.

Doubts also remain over senior keepers Heurelho Gomes and Carlo Cudicini at Spurs.

Tottenham already have two Aussies on their books in Massimo Luongo and Giancarlo Gallifuoco.
