Tottenham tracking Valencia striker Alcacer

Tottenham are tracking Valencia striker Paco Alcacer.

The Mirror says Tottenham are watching Alcacer as boss Mauricio Pochettino scours Europe for a front-line striker.

The Spurs chief missed out on signing a centre-forward in August when Arsenal pipped their north London rivals to Danny Welbeck on deadline day.

But he is desperate to make a January signing and is aware that 21-year-old Alcacer, who recently made his debut for Spain, would be available for around £15million due to a release clause in his Valencia deal.

Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with Alcacer but Tottenham would be able to offer him regular first-team football, with Pochettino unconvinced by Emmanuel Adebayor or Roberto Soldado.
