Tottenham to go after QPR ace Austin later this month

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to launch a bid for the much in-demand QPR striker Charlie Austin according to reports.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has made no secret of his plans to change his strike force for next season with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado both linked with moves away from White Hart Lane.

The Mirror reports that Pochettino hopes to offload one of the two strikers in order to allow him to move for England international Austin later in August.

Austin has been linked with various moves away from Loftus Road this summer, including to Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and West Ham United, but as the transfer window ticks down Spurs look to be about to make a definitive move.

Austin scored 18 times for QPR last season and after their relegation, may look to cash in on the 25-year-old striker with a bid of around £15million being enough for the West Londoners to part with their attacker.
