Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is edging closer to signing permanently for Tottenham.
The Sun says Spurs are closing in on a £5million agreement with Manchester City for the striker, 28, after his 18 goals on loan at White Hart Lane last season.
Adebayor is available for a cut-price fee as he only has a year left on his deal and is not wanted by City boss Roberto Mancini.
Spurs now just need to agree a package to cover most of Adebayor's £170,000-a-week wages at City and a signing-on fee.
