Tottenham target Depoitre has sights on Premier League – agent

Laurent Depoitre is eager to make a future move to the Premier League according to his agent.

Depoitre has been in fine form so far this season, scoring 6 goals in 12 appearances for Belgian champions Gent and his performances have reportedly caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur.

Now as a huge boost to Tottenham's hopes of signing Depoitre, it has been revealed by the striker's agent, Rene Vijt, that the 26-year-old who scored on his Belgium debut on the weekend yearns to play in England's top flight.

"As far as I know there have been no negotiations [with Tottenham], but there is a lot of interest in him," Vijt told ESPN.

"He is still under contract with Gent, and they want to remain champions so they will not want to lose him.

"Negotiations will be tough, but that matter depends on Gent and any agreement with any interested club. However, I believe Laurent would be a fantastic player in the Premier League.

"He is happy in Gent, but try to find me a player that does not want to play in the Premier League."
