Tottenham are closing in on Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Superdeportes says with Villarreal battling for relegation and strapped for cash, they're prepared to sell Rossi to Spurs for a knockdown &poiund;10 million.

And it's understood Rossi would favour a return to England.

The USA-born Italy international has a major point to prove in English football after he had disappointing spells with both Manchester United and Newcastle United.
