Tottenham are battling to offload Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
The Mirror says Assou-Ekotto has been told he can leave White Hart Lane on a free transfer.
But the out-of-favour Cameroon World Cup defender refuses to reduce his salary and that is putting clubs off.
The 30-year-old, who earns in the region of £40,000 a week, had attracted interest from QPR - who had him on loan last season - and Crystal Palace.
