Tottenham striker Kane: Why Millwall goal my best

Tottenham striker Harry Kane says scoring for Millwall was the best moment of his career.

On April 10, 2012, the 18-year-old Kane scored the only goal for Millwall, where he was on loan, in a 1-0 win at Portsmouth that pushed the Lions to the brink of survival in the Championship.

"I'll never forget it," he admits to the London Evening Standard. "The relief on everyone's faces - the players, the fans. It showed me how much the game could mean. People were playing for their livelihoods and had they been relegated, it would have been a big downer for the club. You have to do your job otherwise you won't be in the game long so to be thrown into that at 18 was really good.

"The two goals against Chelsea this season were special but that experience three years ago is one of the things that has made me who I am today. It was a big stepping stone to where I am now."
