Tottenham striker Harry Kane is chasing an England call.
His Spurs team-mate Andros Townsend was called up by Roy Hodgson last year despite having made only a handful of appearances and, when fit, he has been in the senior squad ever since.
Kane said: "That is where I want to get to and the senior squad is the aim. I just want to continue to concentrate on my club football, try to score and do well when I get the chance.
"He did very well. He got his England games when he was playing well. He got the reward. It was great to see that he got given that trust and hopefully if I keep doing what I am doing it can be my future."
