Tottenham striker Heung-min Son: I was happy to see Germany fans cry

Tottenham striker Heung-min Son admits he has no great love for German fans.

Son says he endured a lot of racism during his time in Germany with Hamburg SV.

He recalled: "I moved to Germany very young, and I went through many very difficult and unthinkable things.

"I was a victim of a lot of racism. And as I went through the difficult times, I thought a lot about getting revenge one day."

Revenge came on June 27, 2018. Then he scored in the 2-0 victory that sent Germany out of the World Cup in the group stage. Germany was then the reigning world champion.

"When people cry I want to comfort them, but when I saw the German people crying, I felt that I got revenge," Son said.
