Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is set to start for England today against Slovenia.
The Sun says England boss Fabio Capello has decided to ditch Emile Heskey for the crunch clash against Slovenia as England hunt the win to take them into the last 16.
The England coach will turn to the Spurs ace to partner Wayne Rooney with James Milner poised to start in place of Aaron Lennon on the right.
Defoe, 27, played the final 16 minutes against Algeria.
Heskey has hit just seven goals in 60 England games. His last was 12 months ago against Kazakhstan, which was his first for seven years. Defoe has 11 in 41 internationals.
