Tottenham slap in bid for QPR striker Remy

Tottenham are launching a bid for QPR striker Loic Remy.

The London Evening Standard says Spurs want to make Remy their first major signing of the summer following the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach.

Spurs have made an offer for Remy.

The France international scored 14 League goals in 26 appearances while on loan at Newcastle from Queens Park Rangers this season.

QPR are resigned to selling the 27-year-old, even though they have secured promotion back to the top flight, because a clause in his contract means he can be bought for just over £8m.
