Tottenham signing Jan Vertonghen is happy to play with any central defensive partner.
Andre Villas-Boas has no shortage of options at the heart of his defence, with William Gallas and Steven Caulker also at his disposal.
Vertonghen believes trust will be crucial for whichever partnership the boss opts for this season and is hoping to be a regular performer.
He told Sky Sports: "We have to create a feeling that we can trust each other and we're working on that in training and during the games.
"I've played with Michael Dawson, Gallas and today with Kaboul and they're great defenders. I'm learning from them."
The 25-year-old added: "(Pre-season is) very important, especially these games and playing 90 minutes. You have to be fit for the Premier League, it's a totally different league to the Dutch league.
"That's why I'm working on it. I'm training every day and doing my best and I hope I can play a full season."
