Tottenham may move for Fulham attacker Mousa Dembele as a direct replacement for Rafael van der Vaart.

The Sun says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has been keeping close tabs on Dembele's progress since a £5m move last year from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.

And with speculation that Dutch star Rafael van der Vaart could be an AC Milan target in the new year, Dembele fits the bill as a replacement.
