Lewis Holtby's disappointing two year spell at Tottenham has come to an end after the German midfielder signed a permanent deal with Hamburger SV.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan in the Bundesliga making 22 appearances.

In a statement on their website Tottenham wished Holtby "all the best for the future".
