Tottenham's England boys a good reflection on the club - Redknapp

Harry Redknapp believes the fact that six Tottenham players were selected in the England preliminary squad for the World Cup is a glowing reflection on the London club. Defenders Ledley King and Michael Dawson, midfielders Tom Huddlestone and Aaron Lennon and strikers Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe have all been included in Fabio Capello's 30-man squad which was received well by Redknapp.

"It is fantastic, great news for the club to have six players in the squad and they all deserve to be there," he told the club's official website.

"We expected Peter, JD and Aaron to be there. I thought Ledley would also make it and I was hoping Michael and Tom would as well, so the fact they are in there is great.

"It shows the strength of the playing squad here now and it is a great honour for the players and for the club, their families and everyone involved.

"I just hope no one is left disappointed when the squad gets cut down."
