Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has admitted that the Chinese Super League could be a tempting location for ageing players.

It is a move the 29 year old believes young players should avoid but he confessed that it would be much harder for those approaching the end of their career to avoid the lure of sizeable wages in their twilight years.

"It is a very difficult choice," Dembele told Het Nieuwsblad.

"For young players who are still growing, it is not wise to go. For older players maybe it's different.

"But honestly I have no idea about the level of the championship there. It is hard to say."
