Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel is a January target for Tottenham. The Sunday Mirror says the Dutch hard man midfielder wants to ply his trade in the Premier League after contract talks with Bayern Munich stalled.
Van Bommel, 33, has been close to moving to England twice before during the past eight years.
Arsenal and Leeds were keen to sign him, but failed to clinch deals before the Dutch star moved from PSV Eindhoven to Barcelona.
His age could deter Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who prefers to recruit younger players who carry a greater re-sale value.
But Spurs boss Harry Redknapp persuaded Levy to sign William Gallas who is also 33.
