Tottenham are ready to bid for Liverpool winger Ryan Babel.
The Mirror says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is set to turn to Babel if Middlesbrough price him out of a deal for Stewart Downing.
Liverpool could take around £7m to £8m for Babel and Redknapp will soon have to decide whether to give up on his first target and move on to his first alternative.
