Tottenham are looking to hijack Liverpool's pursuit of Southampton captain Adam Lallana.
The Daily Star is reporting that the 26-year old midfielder has now emerged on Spurs' radar following the sacking of Tim Sherwood as manager at White Hart Lane.
That has opened the door for the north Londoners to go after Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino which in turn makes Lallana an automatic target.
Liverpool have already reportedly lodged a bid of around £20million for the England international but Southampton are believed to be holding out for closer to £25m.
Now the Reds may have to compete with Tottenham for Lallana's signature if reports suggesting Pochettino will replace Sherwood are indeed true.
