Tottenham are keeping tabs on in-form Gent forward Laurent Depoitre according to reports.

Former Gent goalkeeper Frederic Herpoel is under the impression that Spurs are watching the 27-year-old closely and could make a move for his services in the winter.

"Depoitre, I think he will soon leave Gent," Herpoel told rtl.be.

"I do not know if it will be for January, but in any case I think he will go to Tottenham in England.

"He will remain at Gent for the remaining months, but then he will make his choice.

"He has no offer, but I know that Tottenham are closely following him."

Depoitre has netted six goals for Gent so far this season and has featured in both of his side's Champions League fixtures.
