Ryan Mason feels the Football Association have made the correct decision in appointing Sam Allardyce as England manager.
The 61-year-old recently stepped into the vacancy created by Roy Hodgson's exit following the Three Lions' elimination from Euro2016.
Regarding Allardyce's appointment, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mason believes it is an inspired choice as the former West Ham United and Sunderland boss' experience in the Premier League will hold him in good stead.
"I'm sure the new manager will do a fanatic job," he told reporters in Melbourne.
"He's had a great career in the Premier League and he deserves it.
"I'm sure they are confident they have made the right decision and hopefully he can have a successful spell in charge of the national team."
