Tottenham midfielder James Maddison won't be seen until the New Year,
Maddison suffered an ankle injury in defeat to Chelsea on Monday.
He took to social media yesterday to state: "The rollercoaster that is football unfortunately.
"Will need a period of time away from the pitch to get this one right. See you in the new year Spurs fans, I'll be back better & stronger for sure, promise you that [handshake emoji, white heart emoji]."
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou said on Friday: "He came off with the ankle injury, but the next day wasn't great so we sent him off for a scan. So again not great for him and probably into the new year for him."
