Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier is happy for manager Mauricio Pochettino after they reached the Champions League final.
No one felt the emotions of Wednesday's victory at Ajax more than Pochettino, who was in tears at the final whistle and struggled to hold them back during post-match interviews.
Dier said: “To be involved in a Champions League Final is one of the pinnacles of football, it is the pinnacle of club football.
“It is no secret all the circumstances we have had to overcome as a club this season.
“For the manager, it was a very special moment for him. He said after the game that it was one of the best moments of his life.
“So, for all those reasons, from being a child you dream of being part of a Champions League final and then to have done it in the circumstances we have – coming back against Manchester City, coming back against Ajax – it was extremely emotional and that is why the manager was so emotional.
“It is inspiring for us as players to see exactly how much it means to him. We are all so proud to be in this position – and the manager is such a huge part of that."
