Ajax coach Frank de Boer has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur have approached the Amsterdam club to test his interest in coaching the club, reports The Guardian. In an interview with national broadcaster NOS on Tuesday, De Boer said he had been informed of Tottenham's call by the Ajax football director Marc Overmars.
De Boer added that until the season ends next week, he is concerned only with Ajax.
Then, he will be willing to entertain the possibility of a change, though the 43-year-old coach said he is satisfied at Ajax.
"I'm going to listen and talk," he said. "Then I'll make my feelings known. I want to add something to a club, so that people can say that they see the hand of Frank de Boer. Liverpool are a good example of this with Brendan Rodgers."
